Brain TR Is Dying to Live

Brain TR’s debut mixtape, Dying to Live, started out as an EP. Somewhere between a phone call with his manager, Gee1200, and bringing G Beats, also known as Who Made This, into the conversation, the idea grew into an 11-track project.
According to Brain TR, the tape took less than three months to put together. It brings together his pain, growth, thoughts and personal experiences, with guest appearances from OB Mike, AKAY and Apapa G.

The tracklist runs from Sayless and Jaar Jaar to July 12th, Endings and Money And Abundance. It's a first full-length statement from a rapper still finding his place in the new wave of Gambian hip-hop, one whose flow gives him a character of his own.
Gee1200's involvement extends beyond management, with his work in filming and editing through Gee1200 Films adding a visual dimension to the artist's journey.

Behind the scenes, the project also brought together producers, beatmakers and few other collaborators Brain TR credits for helping make it happen.
For Brain TR, though, Dying to Live is more personal than the track count or the process behind it. As he puts it, the project is a part of his story, made in The Gambia and shared with whoever the music reaches.

Dying to Live
It's a starting point: 11 tracks, a first mixtape, and a new chapter for Brain TR.
