Synergy Update: Momentum, Music and 2026

Our last update covered what we had been building quietly behind the scenes. Since then, things have continued to move organically. This period has been about sound exploration, new connections, growing visibility and learning how to balance momentum with capacity.

This update documents that journey honestly as we close out 2025.

Rossi: Sound Expansion and What’s Next

Rossi recently released FC BOYZ (OMO OLOGO), a refreshing return to his Alté side after briefly stepping away into the more rap and trap focused YX4L phase. The record felt like a necessary reset and a reminder of the sound he naturally gravitates towards.

In January, Rossi will be releasing Yvette, a joint project with Nigerian artist YK AYNO. The collaboration continues Synergy’s interest in cross regional connections.

Looking ahead, Rossi plans to release:

  • Two EPs next year
    • A sequel to Afro-5K
    • A second EP with a title still in development
  • Five singles alongside those projects

This phase is focused on output, refinement and range without losing identity.

Building Without a Physical Home (Yet)

Synergy is still working toward establishing its own physical space. In the meantime, community has filled the gaps.

Mass 187 has been extremely helpful by giving us access to his studio. The speakers, the environment and simply having space to work have made a real difference.

That access has allowed me to:

  • Meet more artists within the Gambian industry
  • Increase my personal visibility locally
  • Increase Synergy’s visibility, as people naturally trace the work back to the platform
  • Open more room for collaboration

With that growth also comes pressure. Meeting more people and creating more opportunities means more tasks, more conversations and more responsibility. Balancing work life and creative output has been overwhelming at times, but it is part of growth.

OuZii, Zyka and Cultural Reach

One of the artists I met during this period is OuZii, a young and versatile Gambian artist.

We worked together on a song titled Jackie Chan, which became an important release for us. Beyond its performance, the record helped introduce Altérnative sounds to parts of the Gambian audience through OuZii’s reach.

The song was accompanied by visuals shot by Zyka (edited by me), another solid creative within the space.

Zyka is not only an artiste, but also a videographer and the official producer for 187 Entertainment.

Vybra!!!

I am currently working on a three song joint project with Vybra, one of the Alté pioneers in Sierra Leone.

This project is deeply rooted in Sierra Leone both creatively and culturally. Visuals(cover) for the project are being handled by Joseph Jalloh, a Sierra Leone based visual artist.

This makes the project more than just music. It is a full cultural collaboration.

Planned release is early 2026.

Vybes Talk and Platform Growth

We also released our second Vybes Talk episode featuring Mass 187.

In this candid conversation, Mass opens up about his journey through the Gambian industry, the real cost of chasing a dream, and what it means to be a supportive father while staying true to the hustle.

You can watch it via our Media page, which we recently added to the site:
